A note from the founder

I'm Kianna Nicholson — born and raised in Chilliwack, now raising my family in Kelowna, BC. And what a family it is: five young children, my four little ones and my stepson, plus a share in the busy traffic control company my husband and I run back in the Fraser Valley. Our home is loud, hectic and full of love — every day is a juggle of moving parts.
I found Pilates after my fourth baby — my first daughter. It quickly became mine: 6 a.m. at the studio, home for school drop-off, three littles still by my side, then pickup, dinner, cleaning, repeat. Five days a week, rebuilding my body after pregnancy — and finding a community of women and men who show up for themselves every day.
On my very first studio visit, there were socks for sale at the counter, and I bought a pair — because you had to. But I remember looking at them: not appealing, not really comfortable, and made to be carried to class in my bag and changed into. Never something I'd actually wear out the door.
That stayed with me. Life doesn't pause at the studio door. With five kids, the morning doesn't always give you a chance to change — I'd look down mid-morning and still be in my Pilates socks, not by plan but by circumstance. And honestly? Why should changing socks be one more task in a day that's already full? I just wanted one small part of my day to be easy.
So I created Altered Form. Style, comfort and performance, combined in one sock — one you can wear to the studio, through the studio, and on with your day. Designed in Kelowna, Canadian owned and operated, and made for your everyday.
